Jim Person is originally from a farming community near Camden, Michigan.  He attended Fort Wayne Bible College, Fort Wayne, IN for two years where he majored in Christian Education & Missions. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1968, which included a one-year tour of duty in Vietnam.

Upon receiving his discharge from the Army, he worked as a newspaper wire editor for the Hillsdale Daily News before accepting a call to serve the Lord with Teen Missions Intl., Inc.(TMI) in Merritt Island, FL. While serving with TMI in 1971 he met his future wife, Judy Fannin, formerly of New Reading, OH whom he married in 1973. During their 27 years with TMI, Jim worked in administration while Judy worked in accounting.

In 1997 they moved to Ohio where they helped care for a terminally ill family member. In the fall of 2000 they moved to Tennessee where they expected to retire later in life however, their children migrated to the Atlanta, GA area so they moved as well in September 2005. They have two married children, Bennette Kashella and Daryel Person and six beautiful grandchildren. Jim joined the New Beginnings staff in May 2006 where he serves as the Administrator & Pastor’s Assistant.
